Marteria is one of the most successful rappers in Germany. The native of Rostock has received several awards for his singles and albums. Before his music career, Marteria was already working successfully as a model and soccer player at F.C. Hansa Rostock. Marteria also provides his fans with new music under his pseudonym Marsimoto.
Marteria, whose real name is Marten Laciny, was born on December 4, 1982 in Rostock. In his childhood and youth he proved to be a talented football player, which is why he played for F.C. Hansa Rostock plays. Even before Marteria can seriously think about a music career, he is accepted into the U-17 squad of the German national soccer team.
Between Marteria and his career as one of the most successful rappers Germany is only a detour into the world of fashion. On a trip to New York in 1999, he was discovered by a model scout and from then on worked as a model for top-class designers and brands. Marteria soon moved back to Germany to trade the catwalk for the stage.
Marteria gains first stage experience
Marteria signs a record deal under the pseudonym Marsimoto Label Punchline and writes his first solo album, which does not appear. Without having her own release under her belt, Marteria goes on tour and accompanies the underdog cru with Mark B & Blade through Germany and Europe between 2002 and 2003. The group is finally allowed to perform at Europe's biggest hip-hop and reggae festival "splash!".
The debut album "Halloziehnation" is out

Marteria catapults himself to the top of the charts
For his next album "For Two Alone" Marteria uses his pseudonym Marsimoto again. He worked on new songs for more than two years until he finally made it into the top 10 of the German single charts with "Zum Glück in die Zukunft", which was released in 2010. For individual songs, Marteria works with well-known musicians such as Peter Fox, Jan Delay and Miss Platnum.
In 2012, Marteria finally achieved what every artist dreams of: his single "Lila Wolken" , which he released with Miss Platnum and Yasha, reached number 1 in the German single charts. He was later awarded platinum for the hit.
Successful albums and collaboration with fellow rapper Casper
After this success at the latest, no one is surprised anymore that tickets for Marteria concerts are always sold out. His follow-up album "Fortunately in the Future II" shot straight to the top of the album charts and went platinum. In the same year, the musician was awarded the 1 Live Krone for "Best Live Act".
In 2018 he released a joint album with his rapper colleague Casper. "1982" immediately climbs to number 1 in the charts. In the same year, Marteria fulfilled itself with a show in front of over 32,000 spectators at the home stadium of F.C. Hansa Rostock a dream. For the first time ever, a German rapper is giving a sold-out solo concert in a football stadium.
In 2020, Marteria is launching its first fashion collection. His label "Green Berlin" produces sustainable clothing and wants to make a contribution to preserving the planet.
