Following the success of their show “Mir Froue heis luschtig,” The Sparklettes are now taking it up a notch: In their new stage show, four jazz singers are on a mission in the tourism industry. Whether at a Schwingfest, an après-ski party, a tunnel opening, or the Palace Hotel’s nightlife program: unexpectedly high fees await. So local songs and ideas are cheerfully stretched, spiced up, reharmonized, given a feminist twist, and performed with an increasingly “Gems”-like flair; even the songs of the “sacred top dogs” of the Swiss music scene are taken to task. The four virtuoso voices thus convey their message to the public, cloaked in theatrical wit and Swiss flair. The Sparklettes as we know and love them: Sophisticated arrangements in their usual dizzying and breathtaking a cappella style.
