The Stade de Genève was built in 2003 and has, since, hosted big events such as international football and rugby matches with prestigious teams, UEFA tournaments like UEFA EURO 2008, Swiss championships, as well as cultural events like Celine Dion, Johnny Hallyday, Bruce Springsteen and The Police concerts.
The main building of the Stade de Genève has 25 skyboxes, with a capacity ranging from 10 to 40 people and a VIP lounge that can host 400 people during stadium events, or in which to organise meetings, conferences or private events in an original surrounding.
The Stade de Genève is home to Servette FC, the local football club. Established in 1890 initially as a rugby club, the football section was then created in 1900 and replaced the rugby section that same year.
In more than one century SFC has won different national and international competitions : 17 times Swiss Champions, 7 Swiss Cup victories, it has also qualified for the Champions League and Europa League knockout stages.
