Fidibus knows them all: fairies, witches, princes, goblins, maids ... and of course Cinderella - probably the most romantic fairy tale of all time! And when Fidibus tells a story, fun is a must. So this time he whisks us away to the fairy tale of the lost shoe with his cheerful "Hocus Pocus" and the glittering magic book ...Fidibus' heart is bleeding. Because since the death of her beloved mother, Aschenputtel has lost her enchanting laugh. As if that wasn't enough, her spiteful stepmother and smug stepsister are out to get her: Day in, day out, she has to wash, clean, cook and even sleep in the kitchen in front of the oven. And is therefore mocked as "Aschenputtel" at every opportunity.
On the other side of town lives an occasionally annoyed Die Prinzen. His father, the king, is so worried about his well-being that he won't even allow him to go for a ride on his favorite horse. But redemption is at hand. In order for the prince to one day be allowed to take over his father's inheritance, he must pass the royal aptitude test in front of Fidibus and all the people.
And what next? This much can be revealed: A lost shoe turns the Die Prinzen's head. But isn't it rather grace, kindness and perseverance? Or animal friends, three magic nuts and the desire for freedom? Or all of the above? In the story by Tom Baumann and Mario Moe Schelbert and directed by Matthias Keilich, the Grimm classic is magically transformed - also thanks to live music - into a heart-warming fairytale theater for young and old.
