Nothing But Thieves return to Zurich
After celebrating their tenth anniversary last year - with four albums, billions of streams, thousands of live performances worldwide and a loyal international fanbase - the five-piece band from Southend returned with new music last week with their euphoric new single "Evolution". They seal the start of their next chapter with the announcement of their fifth album 'Stray Dogs', out on September 25th, and their biggest headlining tour to date in 2027, which will take them across the UK and Ireland, Europe, the United States and Canada. It cements their status as one of the biggest touring bands in the UK and Europe.
The first taste of the band's new music was provided by new single 'Evolution', which was premiered last week as part of their YouTube livestream to 250 local viewers and millions of fans worldwide, as well as being premiered by Jack Saunders as the 'Hottest Record' on Radio 1. With a skillful ability to experiment between the genres that influence them as a band, the upbeat and fast-paced track combines soaring vocals and energetic guitars to create a collaborative alt-pop anthem that is uniquely and brilliantly Nothing But Thieves. With a subtle allusion in the lyrics to a live club in their hometown that shaped their beginnings, the track evokes harmony, nostalgia and hope.
In 2023, Nothing But Thieves landed their first number 1 album with "Dead Club City", which was their fourth top 10 album after "Moral Panic", "Broken Machine" and "Nothing But Thieves". Their latest album was accompanied by "The DCC World Tour", which included two sold-out nights at London's Wembley Arena as well as numerous sold-out arenas and shows throughout Europe and North America. With over 1.2 million albums sold worldwide, 2 billion streams and 250 million video views, they have built a loyal and broad fan base with their powerful alternative rock sound and celebrated worldwide success with several gold and platinum albums.
After a secret headlining gig in Newcastle, the band will perform at festivals across Europe this summer and support Biffy Clyro at their open-air concerts in London and Edinburgh. Today they have announced their biggest headlining tour to date, which kicks off in January 2027 and includes shows in the UK and Ireland, Europe, the United States and Canada.
