Jon Hood are back with their new album, “Pieces Of Reality.” Recently described by SRF Sounds as the “supergroup of Swiss indie rock,” the band captivates listeners with an energetic, hybrid sound: at times anthemic and electronic, at other times driving and danceable. On the follow-up to their highly acclaimed debut “Bodysemantics,” they present honest songs about the many facets of life.
At the center is singer and guitarist Joan Seiler, whose Costa Rican roots are audibly woven into the songs. With a uniquely delicate voice and lyrics in Spanish and English, her vocals float over cinematic sounds and surging grooves.
Accompanied by Martin Schenker, David Hänni, and Mario Hänni, the quartet breaks with convention and transforms its songs into a rousing live show.
Lineup:
Joan Seiler (Vocals, Guitar)
Martin Schenker (Vocals, Guitar)
David Hänni (Bass)
Mario Hänni/Michael Anklin (Drums)
