How Ticketcorner Resale works
What is Resale?
Resale is Ticketcorner’s official resale function. Ticketcorner ticket buyers can resell their original tickets securely and easily through Resale. Resale tickets are offered directly on ticketcorner.ch, and Ticketcorner handles the entire sales process. Once a Resale ticket has been sold, the seller is credited with the sale price less Ticketcorner’s seller fee.
Reselling tickets through Ticketcorner Resale
Who can resell tickets and which tickets are eligible?
A Ticketcorner account is required to buy and sell tickets. As a general rule, an offer can only be created by the person who originally purchased the ticket. For Ticketcorner.Pass tickets, the person whose account contains the ticket can also start the resale process via the app. As a general rule, tickets purchased through the Ticketcorner web shop or app and available in the Ticketcorner account can be resold. Ticketcorner.Pass tickets, Mobile Tickets, print@home tickets and physical tickets are supported. Ticketcorner.Pass tickets can only be offered via the app. Tickets purchased by invoice, with a voucher or at a ticket outlet cannot be resold, partly because the refund can only be made to the direct payment method used for the purchase. Subscriptions, package offers and timeslot tickets are also excluded.
How do I sell my tickets through Resale?
Open the «Tickets» section in the Ticketcorner app, or log in at ticketcorner.ch and go to «My Events» under «My Ticketcorner». Select the event and the tickets you want to resell, then enter the offer details. Tickets can only be offered at the original ticket price. The offer period can be selected individually; an offer can be listed up to 6 hours before the event begins. Any number of tickets from an original order can be offered.
How can I edit or delete my offer?
Active offers can be changed or ended in the Ticketcorner account as long as they have not yet been sold. Unsold offers end automatically once the selected period expires, but no later than 6 hours before the event. Expired offers remain visible in the account, and the ticket remains valid.
Why is there no Resale option in my Ticketcorner account?
If the Resale option is not shown in the account, the ticket in question cannot currently be resold. Possible reasons include restrictions imposed by the promoter, an unsupported ticket type, a Resale function that has not yet been activated or a change to the event. In some cases, resale is only enabled shortly before the event. It may therefore be worth checking again at a later date.
How long will my offer remain online?
The offer period can be set when the offer is created. An offer can be listed up to 6 hours before the event begins. Unsold offers end automatically once the selected period expires, but no later than 6 hours before the event, and remain visible in the account. In this case, the ticket remains valid and can still be used.
When will I receive my payout?
After the sale, the payout is made to the instant payment method used for the original order. The payout amount corresponds to the sale price less the 9% seller fee.
Buying Ticketcorner Resale tickets
How secure is it to buy Resale tickets?
Only verified original tickets are offered through Ticketcorner Resale. The entire process, from payment and ticket transfer to crediting the proceeds, takes place on Ticketcorner’s secure platform. As soon as a ticket has been resold through Resale, the original owner’s ticket becomes invalid. The new owner receives a new ticket with a new admission code. Buying through Ticketcorner Resale is therefore completely secure. Unlike tickets resold through social media, classified ads or third-party platforms, the validity of the tickets is guaranteed.
Where can I find Resale tickets?
Resale tickets appear alongside regular tickets on the Ticketcorner event page and are labelled as Resale offers. Depending on the event, they are displayed in the seating plan or in a separate selection. If a Resale offer contains multiple tickets, they can currently only be purchased together; a subset cannot be selected. This option may become available at a later date.
Can I cancel a Resale purchase?
No. A completed Resale purchase cannot be cancelled. However, the ticket can be offered again through Ticketcorner Resale, provided that the Resale function is available for the event in question.
Can a Resale ticket be resold again?
Yes. Tickets purchased through Ticketcorner Resale can be offered again through Ticketcorner Resale, provided that the Resale function is available for the event in question.
