"Music for the Soul" - Piano Concert - Anna Lipiak - Klavier
Anna Lipiak is a Polish classical pianist, winner of 20 international piano competitions, appreciated for her rare sensitivity, the depth of her performances, her spirituality and her beautiful sound. The artist, who has performed in Nepal, Indonesia, Vietnam and many parts of Indi in search of her own path and inspiration, is coming to Switzerland with her own project "Music for the Soul". Anna Lipiak created this program as a result of difficult experiences in her own life, as a way of "enveloping herself" and finding solace in the music of the great masters. "I thought that what helped me could also bring peace and comfort to many other people," says the artist herself about this program.
"Music for the Soul" is a unique piano concert featuring masterpieces by the greatest masters - from Bach and Mozart to Schubert, Schumann and Brahms to the deeply moving works of Frédéric Chopin.
The concert is entitled "Music for the Soul" because it is not just a pianistic performance, but a journey into the inner self. The artist shares not only her interpretation, but also the depth of experience of each piece, making the encounter with the music an extremely personal and authentic experience.
This evening offers the opportunity to immerse yourself in a world of sounds that purify, inspire and touch the most sensitive strings of the human heart.
The evening's program
The concert begins with music by Johann Sebastian Bach. Transcriptions of his music by outstanding 20th-century pianists (Alexander Siloti, Antonio Gervasoni and Wilhelm Kempff) allow the timeless beauty of Baroque polyphony to be discovered in the romantic light of the piano.
Mozart's Fantasy in D minor, an unfinished work that is also moving in its dramatic expressiveness, will also be heard. The work is written as if through the eyes of a child, full of contrasts between great drama and innocent joy in the second movement. Its tense phrases evoke associations with the "Requiem" and make the work one of the most moving compositions in the oeuvre of the Viennese classicist.
The rest of the concert features music by Franz Schubert, which shows us the fullness of humanity. The light but also poignant Impromptu in E flat major and the late "Piano Pieces" in the same key, in which you can feel the last breath of the Romantic spirit, warmth of heart and great emotion. Anna Lipiak's interpretation also includes Franz Liszt's masterful paraphrase of the song "Auf dem Wasser zu singen", which combines lyricism with virtuosity.
After the interval, we enter the world of Robert Schumann - the poet of sound, whose subtle "Arabeske" and moving song "Widmung" in Liszt's arrangement reveal the emotional diversity and spiritual beauty of Romantic music.
The profound and intimate miniatures by Johannes Brahms will also not be missing - three pieces from Opus 118, which are among the most precious gems of late Romantic piano music. It is music full of emotion, passion, melancholy, thoughtfulness, but also inner strength.
At the end of the concert, we will hear two masterpieces by Frédéric Chopin - the dramatic Nocturne in C minor and the monumental Ballade in F minor. These are works that uniquely combine poetry and heroism and form the highlight of the entire recital.
During the concert, the pianist will also share with the audience her personal relationship to the program performed, making the concert a more intimate experience and allowing a connection to be made with the artist.
