Bosse can handle music as well as big emotions. However, what the German singer-songwriter does best is to be genuine, to be himself, not to sell himself. Tickets for a Bosse show therefore promise nothing less than honest music with sometimes melancholic, sometimes pop-optimistic songs - and a lot of heart.
In 1994, Axel 'Aki' knew Bosse isn't quite sure what he wants to do with his life yet. At that time, Braunschweig was still the center of his world. Today, however, Bosse is no longer sitting at the bus stop in his hometown that was sung about in the song "Die Schöneste Zeit", but at the top of the charts. Although the starting signal for his remarkable music career is not long ago, Bosse is now one of the most well-known artists in German pop.
Between Braunschweig and Valencia
Mit in his first Braunschweig band, Hyperchild, the stars are already favoring Bosse. The band's first songs are followed by a Sony record deal, VIVA interviews and their first chart position. Nevertheless, Bosse does a few extra rounds to success: the band breaks up in 2002 after differences, Bosse goes his own way from 2003 and starts his solo career.
Before Axel Bosse "Kamikazeherz" on the debut album of the same name, he lives in Valencia, Spain, after Hyperchild disbanded. New songs and other perspectives are needed - but in peace. The album finally took shape in 2005 at the Maarweg Studio in Cologne, produced by Wolfgang Stach, who had already put the finishing touches on BAP, Guano Apes, Clueso and Jupiter Jones.
In the year In 2006 the second album "Guten Morgen Spinner" followed, which was created in just 13 days. Bosse's faithful live band gathers here for the first time with Thorsten Sala on guitar, Theofilos Fotiadis on bass and Björn Krüger on drums. Back then, Bosse was still supporting Madsen, Mando Diao and Such a Surge. There are no chart successes, but with a small but fine Bosse tour, he plays his way into the hearts of his fans.
Bosse takes off
That Bosse's career is over The year 2006 shows that there are many beginnings. After "Guten Morgen Spinner" the label EMI parted ways with him. Reason: lack of success. Still, nothing better can happen to the musician. He says goodbye to the rocking grunge approaches of the previous albums and strikes calmer, melancholic tones in the self-produced "Taxi", which still characterize Bosse's music today.
With "Wartesaal" ( 2011) he hones his style and confidently delivers thoughtful, intelligent indie pop. Maybe also indie rock - but in any case bosses through and through. One of his first hits is "Frankfurt Oder", which he records together with Silly singer Anna Loos.
The album "Kraniche" follows in 2013, which was partly written in Istanbul. The singles from the album, such as "The most beautiful time" and "So oder so" are now an integral part of a Bosse show. With "So oder so" he also won the "Bundesvision Song Contest" in 2013.
Bosse's music makes everyday life more colourful
Today Bosse's election Hamburgers and somehow at home all over the world. Sold-out halls and Europe-wide festival performances show that Bosse is one thing above all: Live musicians with passion. As such, he finally reached number 1 in the German album charts with "Engtanz" (2016) and "Alles ist now" (2018) with two albums in a row.
Mit On his energetic seventh album "Sunnyside" (2021), Bosse strikes optimistic tones that not only convey joie de vivre, but also want to heal the increasing divisions in society. Despite modern drum loops and synthesizers, you can still feel that Bosse still starts with a sheet of paper, a guitar and a piano. Just an honest musician.
