HARD ROCK ANTHEMS TO YOUR HEART'S CONTENT
CoreLeoni, one of today's most successful Swiss hard rock bands, takes the stage at Z7. Launched by Gotthard founding member Leo Leoni, the project has been thrilling audiences for years with a rousing mix of timeless hard rock anthems and fresh new material. As co-headliners, they’re bringing the ’90s heroes Tyketto—with their brand-new album—to Pratteln.
CORELEONI: When Leo Leoni founded CoreLeoni in 2017, he wanted to breathe new life into the songs from Gotthard’s early years. What was initially intended as a tribute to the early days of one of Switzerland’s most successful rock bands quickly evolved into a band in its own right with an international reputation. In addition to reimagined classics, original compositions soon found a permanent place in their repertoire. With their studio albums to date, CoreLeoni has established itself as a major force in melodic hard rock, thrilling audiences with powerful guitars, big melodies, and first-class songwriting. Since 2022, the exceptional Albanian singer Eugent Bushpepa has been on the microphone, lending the songs a unique touch with his powerful voice. Together with Leo Leoni, guitarist Jgor Gianola, bassist Mila Merker, and drummer Alex Motta, he forms a well-rehearsed lineup that captivates audiences on stage with their joy of playing, virtuosity, and passion. Their latest album, “Generation Rock,” builds seamlessly on their previous releases, blending classic hard rock with contemporary energy. Live, fans can look forward to a cross-section of the band’s body of work to date—featuring legendary songs from the early Gotthard era as well as CoreLeoni’s strongest original compositions.
Tyketto: In the early ’90s, they were one of the most promising bands in melodic hard rock. With the albums “Don’t Come Easy” (1991) and “Strength in Numbers” (1994), the group led by exceptional singer Danny Vaughn was well on its way to the top of the scene. But the rise of grunge dealt the final blow to ’80s hard rock and prevented the band from achieving massive success. Deeply frustrated and disillusioned, Tyketto disbanded after the release of their third studio album, “Shine,” in 1996. To the delight of their fans, a new studio album, “Dig In Deep,” was finally released in 2012. Since then, the band has been performing live again. In 2016, they followed up with “Reach,” another strong album that proved Vaughn is still a brilliant songwriter. After a long hiatus, another Tyketto album, “Closer To The Sun,” will finally be released in the spring of 2026. Alongside Vaughn, Harry Scott Elliott on guitar, Ged Rylands on keyboards, Chris Childs (Thunder) on bass, and Johnny Dee (Doro) on drums all deliver outstanding performances. On “Closer To The Sun,” Tyketto explore real life, love, loss, and joy. From the anthemic celebration of the power of love in the title track, to the raw intensity of “Hit Me Where It Hurts,” to the power ballad “The Picture,” Tyketto continue to navigate with confidence the familiar melodic rock terrain that made them great. With “Closer To The Sun,” Tyketto reaffirm their place among the most respected and enduring names in the scene. On their upcoming tour, Vaughn and his band will combine the greatest gems from their ’90s repertoire with highlights from their latest albums.
