Gims, formerly known as Maître Gims, is one of the most successful French-speaking artists of today. The rapper and singer combines urban music with influences from pop and African rhythms.

From collective to solo star

Gims began his career as a member of the group Sexion d'Assaut. However, he quickly surpassed this success as a solo artist. His albums regularly achieve diamond status in France, and hits such as «Bella» and «Sapés comme jamais» have made him famous throughout Europe.
