James Blunt: Live in Geneva and Zurich with his new album “Airplane Mode”

Ready for takeoff: James Blunt will release his new album “Airplane Mode” on November 6. To celebrate, he’s announcing a major European tour—with stops in Geneva and Zurich in 2027. Tickets go on sale Wednesday, September 9, 2026.

The album “Airplane Mode” features the lighthearted first single “Tastes Like Summer” and eleven more stories in song form, in which James reflects on life’s colorful journey. Also included is the newly released second single “Weight Of It All,” which poignantly explores the pressures of modern life on the human spirit. Other highlights include the epic track “Circles,” which is destined to become a Blunt classic, as well as the infectious groove of “Oh Daisy” and the emotional rawness of “Modern Love.”

The album marks a return to form for an artist who never ceases to surprise. “Somewhere along the way, I lost my way, but found it again in a studio in Banbury,” he says of Pig Music Studios, where most of the album was recorded.

“Airplane Mode” was recorded alongside James’ brilliant, longtime live band and benefits immensely from their collaboration. All the more reason to catch James and his band live on tour next year.
