The evening combines the two one-act ballets “Rain” and “In Pivo Veritas” in a production
by Radu Poklitaru and performed by the Academic Theater “Kyiv Modern-Ballet.” In
these works, music, dance, and the choreographer’s characteristic irony
reveal different facets of his choreographic thinking.
“Rain” is a philosophical choreographic suite about the fates of people who
are unintentionally connected to one another through the same time and space.
“In Pivo Veritas” is a stage production whose title playfully reinterprets the well-known Latin proverb “In vino
veritas.”
The “Kiev Modern-Ballet” Academic Theater is one of the most outstanding theaters of
contemporary choreography in Ukraine, having created original
ballet productions for over 20 years that are renowned in Europe and around the world. The theater was conceived as
an auteur theater, whose repertoire and artistic focus revolve around the
