HIGH VOLTAGE ROCK'N'ROLL
What would December at Z7 be without live/wire? Year after year, Europe's best AC/DC tribute band creates an electrifying atmosphere at the end of the year - a tradition that will continue this winter. On December 18 and 19, the five thoroughbred rockers return to the Pratteler Rocktempel and unleash a brilliant firework display of hits from the Australian rock giants on two evenings - accompanied by hell bells, bagpipes and the thunderous roar of cannons. True to the motto: Let There Be Rock!
For more than five decades, the name AC/DC has stood for uncompromising hard rock and legendary live shows. Over 200 million records sold and world tours in front of sold-out arenas speak for themselves. Over 20 years ago, the two cover bands Riff Raff and Jailbreak merged in the Basel region to form live/wire - and since then they have been the most authentic AC/DC homage Europe has to offer. With incredible enthusiasm and a show that is harmonious down to the last detail, the five musicians send their audience into ecstasy night after night. Singer Däny comes amazingly close to his role model Brian Johnson with his voice, facial expressions and slouch hat - you could be forgiven for thinking the original was on stage. Guitarist Cello hits every note with his Gibson SG like Angus Young and romps around the stage in his school uniform as if he had never done anything else. Adi provides the typical, no-frills Malcolm groove with his Gretsch, while Ronny provides the right punch on the drums in the best Phil Rudd style. The sound is rounded off by Beat, who cements the foundation in the style of Cliff Williams with his four strings. Since their debut in the fall of 2002, the band has continued to develop and their repertoire now includes over 50 songs from four and a half decades of AC/DC history. The sound is true to the original, the show is full of energy - and together live/wire take the spirit of AC/DC to a new level with every show. Anyone who has been there knows: this is no simple cover band, this is pure passion. So get on board the rock'n'roll train or take the highway to hell - the Z7 becomes a party zone for all AC/DC fans. Two evenings. One band. And lots of high-voltage rock'n'roll.
