PLUS ULTRA! MY HERO ACADEMIA EN CONCERT
CELEBRATING THE 10-YEAR ANNIVERSARY WITH AN EPIC TOUR!
FEBRUARY 24, 2025 - Toho Co, Ltd, GEA Live and RoadCo Entertainment today announced My Hero Academia en Concert - a brand new live musical experience and European tour that will visit ten cities across Europe in 2026. Bringing the power, emotion and iconic music of the popular superhero anime phenomenon to the stage, the concert will form a central part of the franchise's 10th anniversary celebrations.
With a giant screen showcasing the series' most memorable moments, the concert will be performed in sync with a world-class live ensemble, bringing to life composer Yuki Hayashi's electrifying music - including fan favorites such as "You Say Run" and "You Can Be a Hero". This announcement marks the European leg of the world tour, with US dates to be announced in April this year. Fans can still register at www.myheroacademiainconcert.com to receive updates as well as exclusive advance access to ticket sales. The European premiere is scheduled for September 2026, with pre-sale details to follow shortly.
My Hero Academia in Concert is based on the best-selling manga by Kōhei Horikoshi (with over 100 million copies sold worldwide, more than 130 million US dollars in box office revenue and a fan base of over 4.3 million followers on social media). The world premiere will take place on May 30, 2026 at Pacifico Yokohama in Japan, before the production moves on to the USA and Europe in the fall. Music and visuals merge to recreate the triumphs, challenges and emotional climaxes that have characterized "My Hero Academia" for a decade.
"Bringing this music to the stage changes the way audiences connect with the series," says Floris Douwes, Producer and Managing Director at GEA Live. "Hayashi's compositions don't just accompany the action - they carry the emotion and intensify every moment of the performance." According to Douwes, the show is also a tribute to longtime fans and newcomers alike.
"We are very excited to bring the world of My Hero Academia to life in a whole new way," said a TOHO spokesperson. "This concert will give fans the opportunity to experience the music, action, and heart of the series live on stage, creating unforgettable moments for viewers everywhere."
Celebrating 10 years since its Anime debut in April 2016, the franchise will kick off a momentous anniversary year in 2026 - with an official Anniversary logo, a special teaser visual, the announcement of a brand new extra episode, and the start of this worldwide concert tour. My Hero Academia is set in a world where most people have supernatural abilities known as "Quirks". The story follows Izuku Midoriya, a boy without powers who dreams of becoming a hero like his idol All Might. His life changes when he inherits All Might's Quirk and enrolls in U.A.
