NEW ALBUM - OLD RAGE
The NY hardcore legends Pro-Pain are letting it rip again. Guitarist Eric Klinger has returned for the band's 35th anniversary. The album "Stone Cold Anger" finally features new Pro-Pain music. The fat new album shows that the band around singer/bassist Gary Meskil has lost none of its original power and the unbridled fury of the early days.
To surpass oneself with every new album is probably the biggest challenge for a band. Especially when eleven years have passed since the last release and the predecessor was quite a smash. To achieve this ambitious goal, Pro-Pain have brought back their old guitarist Eric Klinger. And the two pre-release singles from the new album "Stone Cold Anger" (release: May 15, 26) have already shown that Pro-Pain need not fear for their reputation as an exceptional phenomenon in the New York hardcore scene. Since their groundbreaking debut album "Foul Taste Of Freedom", which was nominated for various awards in the early nineties, the uncompromising band around band founder Gary Meskil has earned the affection and respect of countless fans around the world and is now rightly regarded as a true hardcore metal legend. All of their albums are hard to beat in terms of intensity, inspiration and honesty. And the latest album is in no way inferior to its predecessors. After a long break between releases, the hardcore heavyweights are back with album number 16. On their label debut on Napalm Records, the scene icons show themselves from their most explosive side: "Stone Cold Anger" is, in keeping with the title, furious and weighs tons. Pro-Pain have lost none of their power. Exceptionally catchy, the new album underpins gripping melodies with both incendiary, angry and anthemic vocals, making the new songs worthy successors to the 3.5 million streamed hit "Voice Of Rebellion" (2015). The long-awaited work opens with the hard-hitting "Oceans Of Blood", an energetic track that immediately confirms that Pro-Pain are unstoppable, even after three and a half decades. Gary Meskil and his musicians have remained idealists, both musically and politically, who have not deviated one iota from their relentless attitude. Pro-Pain will bring these and other qualities to our Z7 stage on the occasion of the "35th Anniversary Tour 2026".
