Openair Frauenfeld is considered the largest hip-hop festival in Europe. Every summer, the most important players in the international rap and urban music scene gather at the Grosse Allmend in the canton of Thurgau.
The development into a genre giant
Originally started as a rock festival, the event underwent a strategic change at the end of the 1990s. Today, Frauenfeld is the central meeting place for fans of boom bap, trap and drill. The large-scale infrastructure and the characteristic skyline stage characterise the appearance of the event, which regularly attracts over 150,000 visitors.
