Cult Acts from the '90s and a Mega Music Extravaganza at the Strandfest 2027
On June 25 and 26, 2027, the area around the Aarewog in Aarburg will once again be transformed into a gathering place for music fans, families, and festivalgoers. The Aarburg Nautical Club’s Strandfest will present a varied program over two evenings: On Friday, the “Back to the 90’s Party” brings international cult acts to Aarburg, while on Saturday, the Mega Music Fireworks will provide the dazzling highlight.
The Swedish cult band Rednex will set the party mood on Friday evening. With “Cotton Eye Joe,” the group scored one of the most famous hits of the 1990s. The ballad “Wish You Were Here” also stormed the charts and reached number one in several countries. Rednex’s distinctive blend of country, dance, and pop continues to make them a sought-after live act to this day.
Loona will also be performing. With her summer hit “Bailando,” she enjoyed massive success in the late 1990s and filled dance floors across Europe. Among her best-known tracks is also her cover of “Hijo de la Luna.” Together, Rednex and Loona promise an evening full of memories, big hits, and the exuberant spirit of the ’90s. After DJ Tatana’s one-of-a-kind closing set at the last Strandfest, we booked her right away for this event.
On Saturday, the traditional Mega Music Fireworks show takes center stage. The production, developed specifically for the Beach Festival, combines music with colorful fireworks displays over the Aarewoog. Effects on the water and in the night sky are precisely synchronized with the musical sequence, making the spectacle a special experience for both the eyes and ears. Before the fireworks, we’ll be treated to the band Betty & The Surf-Maniacs, a party band that will get everyone in the right mood for the highlight of the evening. After the fireworks, the Latino combo Cuto Olaya will enchant you with their fantastic South American sounds.
In addition to the stage program, the Strandfest will once again feature a street food promenade, various bars, and the amusement park on the Badiwiese. The festival grounds are open on Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. and on Saturday from 6:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. The amusement park is also open on Sunday. We recommend traveling by public transportation or bike, but parking spaces are also signposted.
Tickets for Friday, Saturday, and combo tickets for both days of the festival are now available at Ticketcorner. We’re also now offering a VIP ticket for the entire weekend at Ticketcorner, which comes with great perks.
