The first concert as part of the tour “DE L’AME” invites the audience into the world of Maria Callas—not only the world of the great singer who conquered the world’s most prestigious opera stages, but also the world of a woman with her passions, her love, her loneliness, her strength, and her vulnerability.
“Stage and Soul” is a musical mini-performance in which the most significant arias from Maria Callas’s repertoire are interwoven with her life story and her letters.
The program features “Habanera” from *Carmen* by G. Bizet, “O mio babbino caro” by G. Puccini, “Casta Diva” from *Norma* by Bellini, as well as other iconic arias from Maria Callas’s repertoire.
Alina Zamalieva is an opera singer (soprano) and the winner of more than 15 international singing competitions and awards. Among her notable achievements are an award at the Covent Garden Opera Competition in London and first prize at the 6th International Music Festival in Vienna. She has performed on renowned theater and concert stages throughout Europe and internationally. She also became known to a wide audience through her participation in *The Voice of Germany*. Today she lives in Switzerland, performs internationally as a singer, and develops her own artistic concert projects.
