It all started with the creation of a
Facebook page. Zurich native Yonni Meyer's aim was to devote herself to her passion for writing and to share stories and anecdotes from everyday life with the public. And suddenly Pony M. was riding the wave of success. First there were 4,000 likes, now there are 61,749. The posts are funny or socially critical and speak to people's hearts.
The Facebook page has been joined by regular columns on a Swiss news portal under the name Yonnihof. There, too, the tone is direct, sharp-tongued and blunt. It's all about commuting, the (hate) love of her life, the Wägeli rally and lube in the supermarket or what you experience on night-time strolls through the city. Yonni Meyer publishes her columns as collected works. As an efficient businesswoman, she is of course self-published.
Pony M. is the rock star among Swiss bloggers. And that's why - and because the name is perhaps also inspired by Boney M. - the 34-year-old also rocks the stage with her witty and socially critical words. 30 times next year. A third of her shows are already sold out.
