Senna Gammour: "I don't think much of the 'Bitchelor' at all"

28/12/2016 written by Michel Imhof
Senna Gammour became famous through her time with Monrose. Now she is also coming to Switzerland with a stage program. But she still doesn't want to be a comedian.

In her first stage show, Gammour gives her "tulips" - as she calls her fans, named after her favorite flower - tips against lovesickness. "After the show, the tulips become queens."

Until 2012, Senna Gammour was known as a member of the German girl group Monrose, since then she has made a name for herself on social media. "I wouldn't want to miss that time, I still perform with 'Hot Summer' today." Gammour does not comment on whether there will be any singing in the new program.

Gammour came up with the idea for this tour through her Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube and Facebook videos. She recreates problems and conversations from everyday life for women and makes her fans laugh. The audience is therefore mainly made up of female troupes. "And sometimes the gay buddies too," she says and laughs. Heterosexual men are rarely seen - strangely enough, she thinks. "They could learn a lot from me! How to get to know a woman and how to treat their partner," she says. "Then they'll finally understand women properly."
When did you come up with the idea of performing as a comedian?

I'll probably have to answer this question forever, but I'm not a comedian. Although my first appearance was at the Berlin "Quatsch Comedy Club", I am an entertainer. I can't help it if the audience laughs when I say something on stage. It wouldn't be nice to the comedians if I called myself a comedian.
What is your program "Lovesickness is an asshole" about?

I give advice that anyone can use in their love life. For example, how best to deal with a break-up. Everyone who attended the premiere was surprised. Every woman will recognize herself in certain stories. And men learn to understand women better.
Do you miss Monrose?

Of course I do. But I would miss any time that brought good things. Like a good partner that you miss, for example. But I'm not sad now, I miss the band in a positive way.
You are on a lot of social media. Do you have a favorite app?

Yes, Snapchat. You can share your emotions with your followers in a brief moment. You're much closer to your followers. For example, they sometimes see me without make-up.
Do you get messages from admirers on social media?

I get messages like that every day, but I don't take them seriously. For me, it's virtual, although there are couples who have met online. But: I'm not a master flirt, it's difficult to flirt with me. No Facebook message is enough.
You can be seen on Instagram watching The Bachelor with friends. What do you think of the show?

The show is called "Bitchelor". I don't think much of the show, it's 22 girls throwing themselves at a guy who won't end up with anyone anyway and who might even be gay.
