We've had to wait for it since 2018: Next year, Italian rapper and cantautore Jovanotti will finally return with his "Palajova 2025 Tour". A single concert in Switzerland is planned for March 20, 2025 at the Hallenstadion Zurich.
The "Palajova 2025 Tour" starts on March 4, 2025 in Pesaro and includes 21 concerts. Zurich is the only stop outside Italy.
Jovanotti is known for concert surprises, even in unusual places: in the last seven years alone, he has performed in 66 arenas, on 38 beaches, at a horse racecourse, on a plateau, in two clubs and even in the desert. "Palajova" is described in the announcement as "Jovanotti in the future" - once again, we can look forward to it. Also musically: Jovanotti announces new songs.
Lorenzo Cherubini, as the Italian "Sibesiech" is actually called, was born in Rome on September 27, 1966. His family comes from Cortona, a village near Arezzo. He took his first steps as a radio DJ at local stations before moving to Milan, where he continued to develop in the 1980s: his love of music, his penchant for disco and his obsession with rap eventually led to his first singles "Gimme Five" and "E' Qui La Festa?", which were soon followed by his debut album "Jovanotti For President".
From then on, Jovanotti changed his style from time to time: his career began with rap and hip-hop, he also worked as a VJ for MTV, and on his later albums he mixed pop, rock and world music, constantly breaking new ground. In between, he worked as a VJ for MTV, wrote two books - and to this day he is still politically active, campaigning for peace, Amnesty International and other charitable causes. Sometimes together with his friend Bono from U2.
And in his private life? Jovanotti has been married to photographer Francesca Valiani, whom he met at the age of 14, since 2008. The couple have a 26-year-old daughter, Teresa.
Hobbies: He occasionally enjoys taking part in cycling races, such as the amateur classic "Nove Colli" in Cesenatico on the Adriatic in 1998. It doesn't always go well: this year, Jovannoti had to cancel his tour due to a bike accident - but with the "Palajova 2025 Tour", Jovanotti wants to finally continue his musical journey next year.
