He has millions of fans on TikTok, streaming hits on Spotify - and Swiss roots: Canadian rapper bbno$ (pronounced "Baby No Money") aka Alexander Leon Gumuchian is the son of a Swiss-Danish mother and an Armenian father. Now the 30-year-old is returning with his new record and a worldwide tour - and is stopping off in Zurich.
On May 15, 2026, bbno$ will be on stage at Halle 622. It is his only Swiss appearance - and a highlight for all those who love internet humor, trap beats and creative border crossings.
With songs such as "Lalala", "1-800 (feat. Ironmouse)" and "Mary Poppins", bbno$ has established himself in the global music scene as a charming crossover artist between rap, meme culture and gaming. In his videos, he mixes pop aesthetics with ironic wit, and on stage he combines his tracks with an almost comedy-like show feeling.
His new, self-titled album "bbno$", which will be released on October 17, 2025, shows him more versatile than ever - between electronic sounds, indie vibes and classic hip-hop elements. The songs are sometimes playful, sometimes socially critical - and always with that unmistakable lightness that makes bbno$ the favorite child of Generation Z.
Gumuchian became known for his clever use of the digital world: he has built up an audience of millions on platforms such as TikTok and YouTube and shaped an entire subculture with memes, collaborations with gamers and social media humor. Today, he has over 14 million monthly listeners on Spotify - and uses his reach not only for entertainment, but also to make clear political statements.
The fact that he chose Zurich of all places for his European debut is no coincidence. "I've always wanted to play in Switzerland - somehow it feels like a homecoming," the artist explained in a recent interview.
On his "Internet Explorer World Tour 2026", bbno$ wants to show that internet rap also works live - with wit, oomph and a good dose of heart and soul.
