Since their formation in 2008, the South African band has established itself as a phenomenon that has attracted attention both in their home country of South Africa and internationally.
After rocking the festival stages in the city on the Limmat in 2016 and 2018 and playing a sold-out X-TRA in April 2024, Die Antwoord will be back in Zurich on December 8, 2024 to wow the audience at Halle 622 with their unmistakable style and artistic potential.
Die Antwoord have changed the music world with their unique style and fearless aesthetic. The band, consisting of Ninja and Yolandi Visser, combines hip-hop, rave and South African zef culture into an explosive mix that fascinates fans worldwide. Their bold artistic vision and provocative music videos, including «Enter the Ninja» and «I Fink U Freeky», push the boundaries of the mainstream and create a unique niche in the global music market. The band has established itself as a cultural force and remains a fascinating example of creative independence, while continually breaking new musical ground and inspiring a broad following.
Their shows are known for their energetic performance, which captivates the audience from the first to the last minute. Songs such as «Enter the Ninja», «I Fink U Freeky» and «Ugly Boy» have established themselves as staples of their setlist and can also be expected in Zurich. The release of their sixth studio album «Uit de hemel gevallen», scheduled for the end of 2024, is also exciting. The band is expected to present some new tracks from this album.
