Def Leppard are coming back to Switzerland: as part of their 2026 world tour, the British hard rock veterans will be playing at the Hallenstadion Zurich on June 19, 2026. It is one of the few concerts in German-speaking countries. Expect a setlist full of classics and new songs from over four decades of the band's history.
Def Leppard last appeared on stage in Switzerland on June 27, 2023. Together with Mötley Crüe, they played at the Stockhorn Arena Thun as part of "The World Tour". Three years later, the Brits are now returning, this time without a co-headliner and with their own show at the Hallenstadion Zurich. The date on June 19, 2026 is Def Leppard's first solo concert in Switzerland for years and marks a rare opportunity to experience the band in an indoor format.
The current tour takes Def Leppard through North America, the UK and selected European cities. The performance in Zurich has been confirmed as a single date for Switzerland. Information on the setlist has not yet been released, but based on the tour shows in the USA, a mix of hits and current material can be expected.
Def Leppard formed in Sheffield in 1977 and are still one of the UK's most successful rock bands today. Their albums "Pyromania" (1983) and "Hysteria" (1987) shaped the genre with anthemic guitar riffs, polyphonic vocals and highly polished production. Songs such as "Photograph", "Animal" and "Love Bites" are a permanent fixture on many rock radio stations.
Most recently, the album "Diamond Star Halos", released in 2022, attracted new attention. Critics praised the balance between nostalgic sounds and new influences. In live shows in recent years, new songs have been played alongside tried-and-tested songs from the eighties.
Def Leppard's concerts are known for their clear dramaturgy, strong visual staging and precisely executed songs. A sophisticated light show and powerful live sound can also be expected at the gig in Zurich. The gig in Zurich is one of the few dates in German-speaking countries and is therefore likely to be well attended.
Advance sales for Live Club Members start on September 3 at 10 am. Tickets on sale to the general public will be available on September 5 at 10 am.
