In April 2025, the High Peak Festival celebrates its premiere in Andermatt. With an impressive line-up, it attracts music lovers from all over Switzerland and beyond. World stars such as Busta Rhymes, Eve and Timbaland, among others, will provide unforgettable live moments on stage.
The High Peak Festival will take place in Andermatt from April 11 to 12, 2025. Visitors can look forward to a unique experience in the heart of the Swiss Alps, where music and nature merge to create an incomparable atmosphere. But it's not just music on offer, the festival also has other highlights up its sleeve.
Busta Rhymes, real name Trevor Smith Jr., is one of the most influential rappers of the 90s and 2000s. With his unmistakable flow and his ability to fire off syllables at breathtaking speed, he has written hip-hop history. His breakthrough came with classics such as "Break Ya Neck" and "Touch It", which made him an international superstar.
Busta Rhymes is not only one of hip-hop's most impressive solo artists, but also the king of collaborations. He owes some of his greatest successes to iconic features that dominated the charts worldwide. As early as 1999, he caused a sensation together with Janet Jackson with "What's It Gonna Be?!", a futuristic R&B rap hit that achieved cult status thanks to its elaborate music video. A few years later, he landed the club banger "Pass the Courvoisier, Part II" (2002) with P. Diddy and Pharrell Williams, followed by the dancehall-infused single "Make It Clap" (2003) with Sean Paul. In the same year, Busta released the soulful ballad "I Know What You Want" with Mariah Carey, which conquered the international top ten and is still one of his best-known songs today.
His collaboration with the Pussycat Dolls for the mega hit "Don't Cha" (2005), which dominated radio playlists worldwide, was similarly successful.
This was followed in 2006 by the track "I Love My Chick" with Kelis and will.i.am, which underlined his versatility as an artist. Finally, in 2008, Busta ventured into a cross-genre project and released the powerful single "We Made It" with Linkin Park, which fused rock and rap.
These releases show Busta's ability to constantly reinvent himself and cross musical boundaries. They not only shaped his career, but also helped to establish hip-hop as a global phenomenon.
