With a band history spanning over four decades, Incognito is one of the style-defining acts of acid jazz. In December 2025, they will be making consecutive stops in Zurich, Bern and Geneva as part of their tour. Tickets are already available.
Since its foundation in 1979 by composer, producer, guitarist and singer Jean-Paul "Bluey" Maunick, Incognito has established itself as one of the leading bands in acid jazz. The British band is one of the pioneers of this musical genre, which combines elements of jazz, funk, soul and electronic music and began its triumphal march in the early 1990s.
Their debut album "Jazz Funk" was released in 1981 and the band celebrated their international breakthrough with hits such as "Always There" and the Stevie Wonder cover "Don't You Worry 'Bout a Thing". This was followed by over a dozen albums, countless tours and collaborations with renowned artists such as Maysa Leak, Chaka Khan, George Duke, Marvin Gaye and Santana. Incognito is less a classic band than a musical project with changing line-ups - a colorful mix of artists. According to the band leader, more than a thousand musicians have played with Incognito over the years. This diversity gives each album a special touch. Their sound is still unmistakable today: tight grooves, soulful voices and plenty of live spirit.
Incognito will be stopping off in Switzerland in December 2025 as part of their current tour:
