Karl's bold alleyway show
An exuberant wedding party finds itself in a mysterious grand hotel in the middle of the water. The wedding planner does her best to make the day the best day of the bride and groom's lives. But an inscrutable receptionist and his ageless waiter make her life difficult - intentionally or out of clumsiness? The Grand Hotel also seems to have its own plans. For the proud father of the bride, it is a fateful day on which he and the guests experience more than they would like. Suddenly the world turns upside down - and everything seems to be falling apart.
The stage set in the middle of a large expanse of water holds many surprises. No one has yet reached the end of the infinity hotel pool, and what falls into the water reappears in unexpected places. No one knows exactly what is behind the next door or how to escape from the island.
The technical team at Karl's kühne Gassenschau draws on its full resources to whisk the audience away into an aquatic dream in which bathtubs become speedboats and entire room furnishings are washed away by monster waves. Poetic and spectacular at the same time.
Virtually all 87 performances are now sold out until October 5, 2024. The demand for tickets is unbroken: As there are hardly any tickets left for the 2024 season, the bold ensemble has decided to perform in Dietikon again in 2025 and has already started advance sales for next year. "The level of interest is huge," says Matthias Schoch, the new artistic co-director of the Gassenschau. He adds: "We have also found a new home here in Dietikon and are supported from all sides. We are aware that this cannot be taken for granted." In 2025, the crew will start with the premiere on May 22, 2025, with tickets available in advance for performances until the end of June 2025.
