With their new album "Can We Please Have Fun", the US rock band Kings of Leon return to their rock roots. The new album is the band's ninth studio work and is a varied and entertaining sound experience thanks to the mix of indie roots and new sounds.
"Can We Please Have Fun" was recorded at Dark Horse Studio in Nashville with producer Kid Harpoon (Harry Styles, Florence + the Machine). The album marks a return to the band's rock roots. In addition to strong guitar riffs and driving drums, the band also experiments with new sounds and electronic elements. The album's first single, "Mustang", was released in March and is an energetic rock song with a catchy melody. In an interview with Rolling Stone, singer Caleb Followill describes the new album as "the most entertaining album we've ever worked on". The band consciously freed themselves from expectations and simply had fun with the music.
The album contains 12 songs, including the previously released single "Mustang" and other tracks such as "Ballerina Radio", "Rainbow Ball", "Nowhere To Run" and "M Television".
"Can We Please Have Fun" is a promising new album from Kings of Leon that should delight fans of the first hour and newcomers alike.
