Underestimated as a bubble-gum pop girl at the end of the 1980s, Kylie Minogue has reinvented herself time and again over the decades and has long since made it to the music Olympus. Even at 56, the successful Australian has lost none of her power: Her new album will be released soon, and in 2025 she will be going on a world tour, stopping off at the Hallenstadion in Zurich on July 6, 2025.
The "Tension Tour" will be Kylie's most extensive tour since 2011, starting in Australia and then heading to Asia before reaching the UK in May. Further dates are planned in Europe as well as North and South America.
It's hard to believe: the petite Kylie has been successful in the music business for almost 35 years: she landed her first hit in 1988 with the Stock-Aitken-Waterman production "I Should Be So Happy". Still bubblegum pop back then, she has surprised us musically time and time again - and delighted several generations of fans with songs such as "Can't Get You Out of My Head", "Spinning Around" and most recently "Padam Padam". With over 80 million records sold worldwide, she is now the most successful Australian artist of all time.
Kylie is now releasing 13 more songs with "Tension II". On the new album, which will be released on October 18, Kylie moves even further in the direction of electronic music and is packed with dancefloor anthems. The album includes nine brand new Kylie studio tracks as well as the current dance hit "Edge of Saturday Night" with The Blessed Madonna and collaborations with Orville Peck, Bebe Rexha, Tove Lo and Sia.
