Four years after her last album, Lorde is back with new music. The "Ultrasound" tour will take her through North America and Europe in autumn 2025 - including a date on November 30 in Zurich's Halle 622. Her new album "Virgin" will be released on June 27 and is set to usher in a new artistic direction. The general presale starts on May 16 at 10 a.m., the Live Club Priority Sale on May 15.
Ella Yelich-O'Connor, better known as Lorde, became famous overnight in 2013 at the age of just 16. Her hit "Royals" became a worldwide surprise success - a track that clearly stood out from the pop landscape at the time. No glitz, no glamor, instead minimalist beats and socially critical lyrics. The New Zealand singer hit the nerve of the times and won two Grammys.
The start of the tour is closely linked to the release of "Virgin", Lorde's first studio album since "Solar Power" (2021). The latter surprised with its acoustic lightness and sunny sound. The reviews were mixed - many fans wanted more depth and less California vibes. With "Virgin", Lorde seems to have responded to the criticism. The record will be released on June 27, 2025 and is intended to mark a return to darker tones. Official tracklists or singles have not yet been released. The artist herself remains vague, but has announced that it is "100% written in blood".
Lorde will be accompanied on her tour by various artists, including Blood Orange, Empress Of and The Japanese House. It is not yet known which acts will be performing in Zurich.
