German singer and songwriter Max Mutzke has big plans for 2024: His new album will be released at the end of September; he is also planning a big anniversary tour with the biggest hits of the past 20 years and new songs. His biography "So viel mehr" will also be published on October 9.

Born in the Black Forest in 1981, Max Mutzke has established himself as one of the most versatile artists on the German music scene over the past two decades. Growing up in an artistic home, he discovered his passion for music at an early age.

Successes, prizes, collaborations

Mutzke celebrated his breakthrough in 2004 as the winner of Stefan Raab's casting show "SSDSGPS". He reached number 1 in the German charts with the song "Can't Wait Until Tonight" and represented Germany at the Eurovision Song Contest, where he came 8th.

His jazz album "Durch Einander" (2012), for which he received the platinum Jazz Award, is particularly noteworthy. In 2018, he surprised with "Colors", an album with R&B and soul versions of well-known hip-hop songs. In addition to his solo career, Mutzke collaborates with various artists and performs with renowned big bands.

In 2019, he won the first season of the ProSieben show "The Masked Singer" as "Astronaut".

Despite all his success, Mutzke has remained down-to-earth. He lives with his family in the Black Forest and is involved in various social projects. From 2021, he will also be hosting his own TV format "Lebenslieder" on ARD.

Mutzke's new album: not just German-language songs

Max Mutzke's next album is something to look forward to. So far, we know that it will be released on September 27 and will not be a purely German-language album this time. His song "Forever Strong", with which he once again competed in the German ESC preliminary round in February, will also be featured on the album.

"How little lights go through the world"

In his autobiography (in stores from October 9), Max Mutzke tells stories from his life and writes very personally about topics such as upbringing and parenting, values, ADHD and dealing with social media. A deeply touching and humorous book. In it, Max Mutzke states his life motto: "We all have to walk through the world like little lights in order to illuminate it. And we can only do that if we remain authentic - and therefore ourselves."

Let's look forward to November 17, 2024: Max Mutzke will play with his own band at Kaufleuten Zurich for the first time.
