John Legend is back. For his new album, the American singer collaborated exclusively with Pharrell Williams for the first time and discovered new musical sides to himself in the process.
Introducing John Legend is actually almost a bit presumptuous. The American is a superstar and belongs to the exclusive circle of EGOT winners. That means Legend has won at least one Emmy, one Grammy, one Oscar, and one Tony Award. Add to that his smash hit «All of Me»—probably the most-played song at weddings ever!
But John Legend proves once again with his new album that he’s by no means limited to «All of Me». On «Muse», he blends classic soul and gospel with hip-hop, Afrobeat, and orchestral elements. Pharrell Williams produced all 16 tracks and places greater emphasis on rhythm rather than the usual piano ballads.
The single «Daylight» stands out with its warm, danceable groove. «Fireflies», on the other hand, has a much more contemplative sound. On the track «Bodies On The Floor», John Legend also teams up with the rap duo Clipse. But why not give it a listen for yourself? It’s worth it!
Unfortunately, no Swiss concert dates for John Legend have been announced at this time. However, with Ticketcorner’s Ticket Alert, fans can stay up to date on any new shows.
