Pop meets rap at Openair Frauenfeld 2025: Justin Timberlake, 50 Cent and Young Thug take center stage on different days - a line-up that surprises stylistically and makes the Grosse Allmend shake.
When Justin Timberlake, 50 Cent and Young Thug headline Openair Frauenfeld from July 10 to 12, pop glamor, rap legends and trap sounds will come together. The mix shows: Switzerland's biggest hip-hop festival keeps its finger on the pulse of the times and manages the balancing act between nostalgia and the present.
Justin Timberlake brings his mix of pop, R&B and chart experience to the stage on Thursday. Young Thug takes over on Friday with an experimental trap sound, before 50 Cent provides retro vibes on Saturday with classics such as "In Da Club". They will be joined by many other acts - including Luciano, Ken Carson, RAF Camora, Denzel Curry, PartyNextDoor and Calli.
What began in 1987 as "Out in the Green" has long since become a fixture in the European festival calendar. Known by its current name since 2004, the event attracts tens of thousands every year - with a focus on hip-hop, but open to musical crossovers. The list of previous headliners reads like a who's who of the scene: Kendrick Lamar, Eminem, Travis Scott, Snoop Dogg and many more. In 2025, Openair Frauenfeld will remain true to its reputation as a style-defining festival.
