On June 6 and 7, 2025, picturesque Aarberg will once again become a concert stage. The Stars of Sounds Festival offers a mix of 80s pop legends and current chart-toppers. It takes place in the idyllic old town of the Bernese municipality of Aarberg and has been attracting up to 6,000 visitors since 2009.
The program for 2025 combines international stars and national artists. The Friday headliners are sure to delight fans of 80s pop music.
The first day of the festival is dedicated entirely to musical nostalgia:
Dieter Bohlen presents "40 Years of Modern Talking". The German producer brings the hits of the legendary pop group back to the stage. In the 80s, the group celebrated success with songs such as "You're My Heart, You're my Soul" and "Brother Louie."
Kim Wilde, the British pop icon, is also in the Friday line-up. She became famous in 1981 with "Kids in America". The singer and songwriter has established herself as a formative figure in 80s pop music.
Milli Vanilli, or more precisely Fab Morvan, will provide further retro flair. After the playback scandal of the 80s, he is now back live on stage.
The evening will be rounded off by DJ Zsuzsu on drums, Simon Sandmann, also known as Sandman, and the talented Aileen Saager.
The second day of the festival offers a mix of international and Swiss artists:
Lukas Graham, known for hits such as "7 Years", leads the Saturday line-up. The Danish band has made a name for itself internationally with its soulful pop-soul sound.
Swiss singer-songwriter Bastian Baker is a regular guest at the Stars of Sound. With his unmistakable pop sound, he has also enjoyed success beyond Switzerland's borders.
Remo Forrer, who represented Switzerland at the Eurovision Song Contest, brings a breath of fresh air to the stage. Linda Elys rounds off the line-up with her powerful voice.
The special thing about Stars of Sounds is not just the music, but also the location. The town square in Aarberg with its historic cobblestones creates a great atmosphere for outdoor concerts. This contrast between modern music and historical ambience gives the festival its special charm.
The organizers recommend coming by public transport. Aarberg train station is only a few minutes' walk from the festival site. Parking spaces are limited on site.
