Sound of Glarus 2026
From August 27 to 29, the Zaunplatz in Glarus will once again be transformed into an open-air festival. The line-up for this year's edition of the GLKB Sound of Glarus is complete - and it reads like a cross-section of the current Swiss music scene.
Stephan Eicher will kick things off on Thursday. The Bernese has been one of the country's most unconventional voices for decades - with poetic lyrics, musical openness and a special stage presence. Before the headliner, Florian Ast brings dialect pop to the Zaunplatz; Lea Wildhaber opens the evening on the glarnerSach stage. The young singer from Sarganserland combines modern pop sounds with a distinctive voice - a prelude with a regional touch. Also on the glarnerSach stage on Thursday: déjàvu, who provide additional festival atmosphere.
Friday evening belongs to Lo & Leduc. The Bernese duo have played their way onto the country's playlists in recent years with dialect rap and catchy hooks - "079", "Jung verdammt" and "All die Büecher" are guaranteed sing-alongs. Their new album "Krise als Chanson" was released in March 2026; Glarus is part of the accompanying tour and the duo's third appearance at the festival. Before that, Mimiks will take to the GLKB stage: the Lucerne rapper impresses with his distinctive flow and direct lyrics that oscillate between personal reflection and social observation. On the glarnerSach stage, Kalles Kaviar provide ska, rocksteady and reggae - danceable, groovy and close to the audience. Friday is rounded off by Opération Zéro and LIV.
The final act on Saturday will be Kunz. With songs such as "Chliini Händ", "Lüüt so wie mer" and "Eifach so", he has established himself as one of the most influential voices on the Swiss dialect scene - cross-generational, emotionally direct, with great sing-along moments live. The support program covers a wide range of genres: EDB stands for fresh, energetic sound with an appeal to a younger audience; Young Rebel Set bring rough indie folk with anthemic traits from the UK. eifachBen, Eukalyptus 2 and Loveboy and His Imaginary Friends round off the Saturday program. During the day, there will also be a free children's program with Circus Mugg and the family concert "Luftibus auf Reisen".
For project manager Martin Huber, one thing is paramount: "We want to offer a festival that is musically convincing and at the same time remains accessible to as many people as possible."
