On Sunday, November 9, 2025, something crazy is happening at the Hallenstadion in Zurich: Alpentainer Trauffer and the Schwiizergoofe are putting on a concert just for children. The special thing about it? Adults only get in if they have a child with them. Normally it's the other way around - but here the children's rule applies.
Everyone knows Marc A. Trauffer: the man with hits like "Müeh mit de Chüeh" and "Geissepeter" usually brings large halls to a boil. But back in 2023, he tried out how his music would go down with children - he gave special afternoon concerts in Wichtrach and Brunegg. The result? The little ones were just as enthusiastic as the grown-ups. His mixture of alpine rock, dialect and modern beats simply works for everyone.
Now he's getting reinforcements: the Schwiizergoofe. This is Nikol Camenzind's children's choir troupe. They have now even made history - they were the first artists ever to reach number 1 and 2 in the Swiss album charts at the same time. Their modern children's pop in various Swiss dialects is now played up and down in many children's rooms.
What will take place in the Hallenstadion from 1 p.m. on November 9 is well thought out. The organizers have really put some thought into it: the concert is shorter than normal, the music is not as loud as usual and there are special areas just for children. The cordoned-off zones with measuring sticks are really clever - only the little ones can get through.
They have also thought about safety. Every child gets a sticker with mom or dad's name and an emergency number on it. The security staff have been specially trained to ensure that no one gets lost.
The program is also well planned: First the Schwiizergoofe heat up the atmosphere, then Trauffer joins in with his band, and at the end everyone joins in for the grand finale.
"The biggest children's party in Switzerland - that sounds crazy. But that's exactly what Trauffer and the Schwiizergoofe will be celebrating. With the best hits, good humor, confetti and shining children's eyes," explains Nikol Camenzind.
The two go well together: Trauffer brings the alpine tradition, the Schwiizergoofe the modern children's pop. Together they want to prove that Swiss music works for all generations.
If you want to be there, you should make a note of July 31 - that's when advance sales start at Ticketcorner. And as Trauffer's normal concerts usually sell out quickly, this family show will probably not be available for long.
To coincide with the concert, Trauffer's new album "Heubode" will also be released on August 22. The first three songs, "Heubode", "Miis Örgeli" and "Oberland", can already be heard and show that he is becoming more traditional again: The Alpentainer is becoming more traditional again, but still remains rocking.
In the end, that's exactly what makes a good concert: it brings people together. When the Hallenstadion turns into a big Swiss family party on November 9, it's not just any concert. It's a moment when generations come together and have fun.
