For a quarter of a century, the show "Rhythm of the Dance" has been delighting audiences worldwide with its unique blend of traditional Irish dance, music and state-of-the-art stage technology. The show boasts an exceptional cast, including dancers with Irish and even world championship titles as well as first-class traditional musicians and singers. The show will be on tour in Switzerland from 16 to 26.1.2025.
The live band consists of highly skilled musicians who play an impressive range of instruments, including traditional Irish instruments such as bagpipes, flat drums, fiddles, flutes, accordions, banjo and whistles. This musical diversity gives the show its authentic Irish atmosphere.
Over the past 25 years, Rhythm of the Dance has traveled to more than 50 countries and reached over 7 million viewers. Notable successes include a performance in China, where the show was performed in front of 5000 spectators and watched live by 750 million television viewers. The Kremin Palace Theater gave the show a special award for its contribution to Russian and Siberian culture. In the Crocus City Hall in Moscow, the show thrilled 6000 spectators, while in Greece 5000 fans watched the performance in the historic Acropolis in Athens.
The show was awarded "Best Irish Dance Show" in Poland and received a nomination for "Best Dance Show" from the renowned magazine IQ. In the USA, Rhythm of the Dance completed a two-month tour with sold-out performances at Dolly Parton's theme park in Tennessee. A particular highlight was the performance at the closing ceremony of the 2015 European Championships in Azerbaijan.
To mark its 25th anniversary, Rhythm of the Dance is now presenting a completely revamped show for Swiss audiences for the eighth time. The performance promises a thrilling journey through time, characterized by pulsating rhythms, pure energy and melodic music.
