MAMMA MIA! is coming to Theater 11 in Zurich in February 2027. Featuring the original West End production, the ABBA hits and the touching story promise an evening full of sunshine, good cheer, and plenty of feel-good vibes.
When the first notes of «Dancing Queen» ring out through the theater, there’s hardly anyone who can sit still: MAMMA MIA! brings that unmistakable ABBA vibe. From February 16 to 28, 2027, the original English-language West End production from London returns to Zurich for a run at Theater 11. The show combines a sweeping love story with some of the Swedish band’s most famous songs.
Set against the beautiful backdrop of a small Greek island, MAMMA MIA! tells a story of love, family, old acquaintances, and the search for one’s own identity. At the center of the story is Sophie, who, shortly before her wedding, finds her mother’s old diary and sets out to discover who her father is. Her search leads to the arrival on the island of three men from her mother Donna’s past—all of whom could be Sophie’s father.
What follows is a whirlwind of surprising encounters, emotional moments, rousing songs, and humorous situations. The story brings different people together and shows that family and togetherness are, above all, matters of the heart.
The songs of ABBA provide the unmistakable soundtrack. «Dancing Queen», «Does Your Mother Know», «Mamma Mia», «The Winner Takes It All», and many other hits aren’t just background music for the musical—they’re a central part of the story.

MAMMA MIA! will be performed at Theater 11 from February 16 to 28, 2027. The production is performed in English.
