Album of the week: Beatrice Egli gives us a "feel-good guarantee"

Five years after her DSDS victory, Swiss pop queen Beatrice Egli is releasing her fifth album. With it, she gives us a "feel-good guarantee".
The artist
The singer from Schwyz won the German casting show "DSDS" five years ago.
In 2013, one year after Luca Hänni won the German casting show "Deutschland sucht den Superstar", another Swiss artist, Beatrice Egli, was able to sing her way to first place. Five years have now passed and Beatrice Egli is one of the most sought-after pop singers in the German-speaking world. With her debut single "Mein Herz" and other hits such as "Irgendwann", "Kick im Augenblick" and "Auf die Plätze, fertig, ins Glück!", she sang her way into the hearts of pop fans. Beatrice has two Swiss Music Awards, an Echo and a Prix Walo to her name.

With "Wohlfühlgarantie", Beatrice Egli delivers her fifth album since her DSDS victory. Each album has become more and more modern, including "Wohlfühlgarantie". There are a total of 21 songs on the deluxe version of the album, three of which are cover songs. Cool: Beatrice Egli sings Swiss German for the first time on the cover of the Polo Hofer hit "Alperose". Overall, the new music seems even closer to pop. "I've set a new limit for myself and pop in 2018," says Beatrice about her latest work. "With this album, I'm guaranteeing positive music and good, infectious energy."
The verdict
Beatrice Egli is right: with her fifth album she goes one step further. The songs seem more modern, no longer the typical Schlager like the previous albums, and it is noticeable that there are many fast songs on the album, even heartbreak lyrics are combined with a positive beat. The good mood spills over.
