Birdy made a name for herself in this country in 2013 with "Skinny Love". Since then, the 20-year-old Brit has continued to impress with her voice.
She could be seen as the epitome of talent, after all, she has always written many of her songs herself. Her mother taught her to play the piano at the age of seven and she wrote her first music when she was eight. Her parents gave Birdy, whose real name is Jasmine van den Bogaerde and who has Dutch-Belgian roots, her stage name. As a baby, she always opened her mouth so wide when eating that her mother called her Birdy.
The new album proves Birdy's talent
Birdy's third album "Beautiful Lies" was released in March this year. She worked with producers including Florence and the Machine and Adele. She has always been known for her quieter sounds, but her latest work seems to be a little more mature. "This album is proof of her talent," wrote Entertainment Weekly. "It proves that she only dips into her genre briefly to float on her own cloud."
