First of five concerts: 200 minutes of pure Helene

25/10/2017 written by Michel Imhof
Last night, Helene Fischer took to the stage for the first of five Hallenstadion concerts and entertained the Zurich audience for a whopping 200 minutes. And although the singer received a lot of cheers, her sweetheart Florian Silbereisen of all people was booed - even though he wasn't there!

There was wild clapping and singing along when Helene Fischer (33) flew onto the stage in Zurich's Hallenstadion shortly after 8pm. The cheerful pop queen greeted the Swiss audience with a "Grüezi mitenand". Fischer is playing a total of five concerts in Zurich this week, a feat only achieved by Tina Turner in 1987. "I would never have believed it eleven years ago," Fischer tells the audience.

The current tour was developed in collaboration with Cirquedu Soleil: There is dancing, gymnastics, drumming, jumping and, as Helene Fischer said with a grin at the beginning of the show: "I'm going to sing a bit too." For three hours and twenty minutes, Fischer hit every note, even while showing off her acrobatic skills at lofty heights.

Boos for darling Florian Silbereisen

Although the cheers were huge, there were also loud boos: When Fischer dedicated "Lieb mich dann" to her sweetheart Florian Silbereisen (36), the male viewers acknowledged the sweet declaration of love with loud boos. Jealousy alert! But Helene Fischer took it with humor: "You don't even know him!"

Fischer was close to the Zurich audience: "I'm delighted to be here for a week. You are really lucky to live in such a beautiful country." In addition to the encore of "Atemlos", the big highlight of the show was the presentation of the new single "Achterbahn" with a remix mash-up by Dutch DJ Afrojack. Even the oldest members of the audience clapped to the hard electro beats. "That was amazing! Isch mega!" said Fischer enthusiastically.

Next year at the Joggeli in Basel

Helene Fischer will be playing her show at the Hallenstadion Zurich until Sunday evening, and each of the five concerts is already sold out, with over 50,000 people cheering on the pop singer until Sunday.

Anyone who still wants to see Helene Fischer has the chance to do so on June 26, 2018. Helene Fischer will then make the St. Jakob-Park in Basel unsafe as part of her stadium tour.
