The German pop-soul singer has reinvented herself. Known for songs such as "From Sarah with Love", Sarah Connor now sings her songs in German, her mother tongue.
Sarah Connor is breaking new ground. With the album "Muttersprache", she has recorded an album entirely in German for the first time. What's more, this time all the songs were written by her. "For me, that's the biggest difference to my previous albums," says Connor in an interview with event. "I feel very comfortable writing my stories in German." But that doesn't mean that Connor will no longer sing in English in future: "Soul still flows through my veins, and when I jam a blues with my band, English words come out of my mouth."
No glitter and confetti, just "great music"
Sarah Connor is successful with German music: she reached first place not only in the German charts, but also in the Swiss charts. She is particularly looking forward to the Swiss concert in September. "I promise: the visitors will go home with a smile on their faces," she says. "It won't be raining glitter or confetti. I won't change my clothes ten times either. But I've got fantastic musicians with me and we'll make some great music for you." In short: "A party in the mother tongue!"
