Bastian Baker and Montreux are a very special love affair. He has a relationship with the jazz festival that is unlike any other in his life.
From the chalet of festival founder Claude Nobs († 76), high above Lake Geneva, Bastian Baker (25) looks down to Montreux VD: "This is where I discovered my love of music," he says proudly. "I grew up in Villeneuve, even as a child I went to concerts with my parents.Performing here gets me completely high."
