Nickless rides the wave of success

07/06/2016 written by Michel Imhof
Nicola Kneringer, Nickless' real name, discovered his musical talent at an early age. He started playing drums at the age of seven and now plays five instruments: "I'm not a professional at all of them, but I'm good enough for recordings," he tells us in an interview. After school, he trained as a sound engineer and was thus able to further his music career.

Nickless tours with his friends

Nickless is often compared to Bastian Baker: "I have absolutely no problem with that, it's a compliment. Bastian and I are good friends," he says. Like Baker, he also writes his own songs. He gets his inspiration from various situations: "It can happen in the shower, but also while shopping or with friends." He is accompanied on tour by a three-piece band. "They're my best friends," he reveals. This summer, he will be performing on several open-air stages. He wants to leave a lasting impression: "It's important to me that people remember my performance for a long time to come."
