Every year: July 17 has been World Emoji Day since 2014. Today, it's hard to imagine our daily communication without these little illustrations, and in some cases they have even replaced them completely. But what about bands? Can you recognize these 40 bands just by their emojis?
Meanwhile, emojis can convey pretty much any mood or at least help to visually emphasize emotionless text (fragments). For a happy birthday to your sister, there's a cake, a smile at a joke becomes a face tearing up with laughter and a simple "Hoi!" is made with a waving hand. Taking into account the different colors and shapes, almost 3000 emojis can currently be used according to the Unicode standard and over 200 more are to be added in autumn 2019. The possibilities for expressing yourself using smileys and illustrated object icons are almost limitless.
This also applies to bands - for World Emoji Day, we have compiled 40 international and national bands and put them in a new light using the little pictograms. Can you guess the band names?
