Robbie Williams: Mr. Entertainment can still do it

Not much has been heard from Robbie Williams since his big "Let Me Entertain You Tour" last year. To launch his album promo, he performed at the 10th Apple Music Festival in London. We were there.

Robbie Williams' (42) appearance at the Apple Music Festival was eagerly awaited: Fans didn't know whether to expect a greatest-hits show or a show with totally new songs. All that was known before the concert was that a new album would be released sometime in the near future.

Big show in front of 3,300 people

But as soon as Robbie Williams took to the stage - with "Let Me Entertain You" and the request to the audience to "Shake your ass!" - it was clear that this was going to be an entertaining evening.

The Roundhouse in London is a concert hall that only seats 3,300 people. The atmosphere was all the better: people danced, sang and cheered for the Brit. "I've been sick a lot recently, so I'll let you sing all the choruses now," joked the singer.

Memory of his dead manager

There were goosebumps when Robbie's father Peter Conway (67) took to the stage to sing "Better Man" with Robbie Williams. And when Williams dedicated the song "Angel" to his former manager David Enthoven, who died in August at the age of 72: "I wouldn't be alive without him," he said emotionally. It was Williams' first performance since the death of his mentor - who he had appointed.

Robbie Williams lived up to his reputation as a "ramp sow": he made the women's hearts melt and even dropped the pants of his butterfly suit. What followed was a clear view of his underpants adorned with a tiger motif. Scream alert!

Finally came the big announcement: Williams' new album "Heavy Entertainment Show" will be released on November 4, 2016, the lead single is available now. He then premiered another track: "Sensational". And that's also how you can describe the last concert evening.

The Robbie Williams concert can be seen on Apple Music.
