Sia brings us a classic with "Everyday Is Christmas"

Who would have thought a year ago that Sia would dedicate herself to an entire Christmas album? Today, "Everyday Is Christmas" is released with ten fresh songs for the most wonderful time of the year. It belongs in every Christmas fan's collection!
The artist

Sia is considered a master of melodies. Originally, she tended to stay in the background, writing songs for other artists. Now she herself is in the foreground as a performer - even if Maddie Ziegler is always to be seen in music videos and she wears a huge wig at public appearances, which nevertheless gives her anonymity. At concerts, she stands in the corner with the wig and sings while dancers provide the show. She has written songs for Beyoncé ("Pretty Hurts"), Britney Spears ("Perfume"), David Guetta ("Titanium"), Jessie J ("Flashlight"), Katy Perry ("Chained To The Rhythm") and Rihanna ("Diamonds"), among others. Her own biggest hits include "Chandelier" and "Cheap Thrills".
The album
No one would have expected this: With her label change, Sia also announced her plans for a Christmas album. "Everyday Is Christmas" is the name of the album and contains ten songs. The cover - of course - features Maddie Ziegler again, as in so many of the Australian's music videos and album covers. Sia has written ten new songs for the Christmas festivities, the first foretaste was provided by the uptempo single "Santa's Coming For Us", the second by the ballad "Snowman".
The verdict
Sia can fully meet the high expectations of the album. The ten new tracks are modern, surprising and yet Christmassy. Sia's style is clearly recognizable, despite the many Christmas elements in the music. The album "Everyday is Christmas" has the potential to join the ranks of Christmas classics by Mariah Carey, Wham! and Bing Crosby. Just like Mariah Carey's "Merry Christmas", some of the ten new songs can be listened to all year round. Everyday is Christmas!
Play tip
"Puppies Are Forever" - a song that treats animals as a Christmas present. "Puppies are forever, not just for Christmas," sings Sia. Anyone who can incorporate dog barking into a song and the result sounds so good has understood music.
