The party mile at the Montreux Jazz Festival in 60 seconds

07/07/2017 written by Annika Hagemann und Ruben Assenberg van Eijsden
In addition to the concerts, this year's Montreux Jazz Festival program once again has a lot to offer. From 2 p.m. in the afternoon until 5 a.m. in the morning, there is a full program with over 250 gigs on 8 stages.

It starts at 2 pm with "Music in the Park". All visitors are welcome to enjoy the musicians in the open air. There are also various music workshops where you can experience artists in an intimate setting. The program is free, but still first-class: With top acts such as Warhaus by Marteen Devoldere, the lead singer of Belgian indie band Balthazar.

In the evening, everyone gathers at the brand new Lisztomania festival stage. In contrast to its predecessor "The Rock Cave", the Lisztomania stage presents eclectic music styles, but at the same time continues to be dedicated to independent music styles. After the concerts, it's straight on to the Montreux Club, where everyone can be impressed by powerful jam sessions in a cozy atmosphere. Those who want to party into the early hours head back to Lisztomania, or El Mundo and the Strobe Klub, all of which offer after-show parties. Afterwards, the last guests will be kept happy by exquisite DJs.

More information about the free program can be found here.

The Montreux Jazz Festival continues until 15.7.17. Artists such as Tom Jones, Grace Jones, Kasabian, Erykah Badu and Yello will be performing over the next few days.
