Vintage Trouble: Star factor from L.A.

22/07/2016 written by Nina Müller
The lead singer Ty Taylor from the Los Angeles soul band "Vintage Trouble" is a mixture of Elvis Presley and James Brown. With his brilliant show on the stage of the Auditorium Stravinski at this year's Montreux Jazz Festival, he sent all 3,500 spectators into ecstasy. Now "Vintage Trouble" are coming to Switzerland for two more concerts.

The energetic rhythm'n'blues band "Vintage Trouble" around lead singer Ty Taylor was only founded in 2010, but has already toured as the support act for AC/DC, the Rolling Stones and Bon Jovi. This seems to have rubbed off, because what Vintage Trouble brought to the stage during their concert on July 9 at the Montreux Jazz Festival was simply sensational.

The singer Ty, bursting with energy, stormed into the middle of the audience several times during the performance, sang from the gallery in the Auditorium Stravinski like a priest and made the audience go wild. He also addressed the recent attacks on black citizens in Dallas and asked the entire hall to turn on the light on their cell phones and hold them in the air. He then sang "This can't be" and the whole room sang along.

Vintage Trouble mixes blues with soul and rock'n'roll at the highest level and with an unstoppable energy. This has already earned the band comparisons with Otis Redding in the USA - and prominent appearances on important US talk shows such as the David Letterman Late Night Show. Their current, fourth album "One Hopeful Rd." was produced by Don Was, the Rolling Stones' three Grammy-winning producer, and Iggy Pop.
